This site keeps as little about you as it can. Here is what it keeps, and why.
Your account
If you sign up, we keep your email address and your password (stored hashed, never readable). They are used only to sign you in.
Your questions
When you ask a question, we keep what you wrote, a picture of the scene at that moment and the scene's settings, linked to your account, so we can answer it. To help prepare an answer, we may pass these to third-party AI services, which may process them outside Canada. Every answer is reviewed by us before you see it.
Usage statistics
To learn which parts of the site are useful, we record how it is used: which buttons are pressed, which scenarios are watched and for how long, zooming, your window size and language, and the site you came from. A random ID kept in your browser groups these; when you are signed in, they are also linked to your account. We never record what you type, your email address or where your mouse is. The statistics use no cookies (signing in and the language choice do); they are not sold or used for advertising.
Where it is kept
With Supabase, our database service, on servers in Canada. Supabase's own request logs keep IP addresses for a short time; our tables do not. Pages are delivered through Vercel and Cloudflare, which see your IP address to do so.
How long
Usage statistics: no longer than 12 months. Your account and questions: until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
Switch off "Usage statistics" at the bottom of the settings panel (open it with ‹ on the right of the page); your browser's Global Privacy Control is respected too. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes the random ID.
