Watch the interactive demoHow to drive it
Residential four-way intersection with no signs or lights in any direction: a car approaches from the right going straight + slow down, look right first, then left + you reach the intersection about 1 second before it, and still stop completely before the crosswalk to let it go + after it passes, scan right then left and move off straight
In the correct demo, you yield to:
- Vehicle from the right going straight — Uncontrolled intersection: yield to the vehicle on your right. At an uncontrolled intersection, a vehicle coming from your right has the right-of-way, whether it goes straight or turns; if there's one on your right, stop before the intersection and wait until it has passed. Going ahead of it is failing to yield, an automatic fail on the road test.
